Post Partum

Flew to Chicago and back  for the opening of my exhibit "For the love of dance". Total success. met many artsy interesting wonderful new people; new collaboration ideas came about; and yet the moment feels utterly empty and devoid of meaning.  I am told this is normal in the moments where the significant effort has materialized and escaped your inside. It has a life of its own now. Perhaps not unlike  when children leave the nest. I trust this to be true, as it is my experience.

  1. The title of this posting just helped me realize that not just a depression could be called Post Partum… The feeling of emptiness is very common and often it goes together with fullness after complete achievement (of something). It’s a familiar feeling. By the way, the exhibit was a warm and cozy event. Thank you.

  2. thank you, Dina. The opening evening was wonderful - interesting questions, lively conversations. I got few new ideas and collaborations with Chicago artists in the works. It was a great time. I will get over the postpartum, and start creating again - the cycle of creation
